PNB debit card

Presently, almost all banks in India offer debit cards with a host of features. One such Bank is Punjab National Bank of India (PNB). If you are exploring new debit cards to buy, then PNB debit cards are a must to know. You can use the card at all ATMs and POS terminals, and also for e-commerce transactions. What else? You also get an option of Add-on cards, which means you can give usage rights to your family members.

You can avail the Facility of two additional cards for your family members, which includes your parents, spouse and children. The primary cardholder is the main account, who can open 2 other additional accounts at the time of issuance of the card.

1. RuPay PMJDY Debit Card

Under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana scheme (PMJDY), debit cards are issued to SBBDA account holders. The primary reason behind this card is to give financial security by providing maximum benefits like free insurance facility, digital services and cashless convenience.

You can make a cash withdrawal of Rs.25,000 and POS transaction of up to Rs.60,000. This debit card also offers accidental death cover of Rs. 1 lakh.

2. RuPay Kisan Debit Card

RuPay Kisan Debit Card is issued to KCC (Kisan Credit Card) customers for use only in India. You can make a daily cash withdrawal of Rs. 25,000 and POS transaction limit of Rs.60,000.

The card also provides accidental death cover of Rs. 1 lakh.

3. MUDRA Debit Card

MUDRA (Micro Units Development and Refinance Agency) debit card is launched under Prime Minister MUDRA Yojna (PMMY). This is to help borrower’s ease of access to credit loans so that they can meet their working Capital needs.

You can use the MUDRA debit card to withdraw cash from any ATM and also to purchase at POS terminals. The scheme gives you the flexibility to repay the loan amount as and when the surplus is available. The main aim of this scheme is to reduce the interest burden and offer easy repayment options.

With, MUDRA debit card, you can make a cash withdrawal of up to Rs. 25,000 and POS transactions of up to Rs. 60,000, per day. The card also attracts annual charges of Rs. 100 + service tax, which will be levied after one year of the card issuance.

4. RuPay Samagra

This PNB debit card is issued to customers under Samagra Scheme. It is a Bi-lingual debit card and is issued in Madhya Pradesh under PMJDY. So, the RuPay Samagra is issued only in Madhya Pradesh state.

The daily cash withdrawal limit is Rs.25,000 and POS terminal transaction limit is Rs.60,000. Additionally, you also get the accidental death coverage of Rs. 1 Lakh.

5. RuPay Bhamashah

RuPay Bhamashah is issued only in Rajasthan state under Bhamashah scheme. You can make daily cash withdrawals of Rs. 25,000 and POS transaction of Rs.60,000. You also get the benefit of accidental death coverage of Rs. 1 lakh.

6. Pungrain Hsamb Arthiya

Punjab National Bank of India has participated in the project for grain procurement of the Haryana Government as an acquirer bank and issuer. The bank has launched a debt card for Arthias of Mandis of Haryana State Agricultural Board.

The card can be used at selected RuPay enabled POS terminals identified by NPCI for receiving direct payment from procurement agencies of the Punjab Government. You can also do cash withdrawal at ATMs, along with other transactions.

The daily cash withdrawal limit at ATM is up to Rs. 25,000 and transaction limit is of Rs.15, 000. POS transaction is up to Rs. 60,000 per day.

Some of the important features of the Pungrain Hsamb Arthiya card is -

  • It is a magnetic strip card
  • Cash withdrawal will be through RuPay enabled ATMs only
  • For domestic use only (i.e., within India)

7. Pungrain Kisan

Just like above, the PNB has also participated in the “Project for Food grain procurement'' through electronic remittance of Punjab Government as an issuer and acquirer bank. In the first phase of the project, the bank launched - Personalised Pungrain RuPay debit cards for Arthias of designated Mandis of Punjab Government. In the second phase, PNB will launch Personalised Pungrain RuPay Kisan debit cards.

Framers can use these debit cards at selected RuPay enabled POs terminals identified by NPCI for receiving direct payment from procurement agencies of the Punjab Government. Framers can also make a cash withdrawal at ATMs and POS transactions.

ATM cash withdrawal limit is of Rs. 25,000 per day, and transaction limit is Rs.15,000.

Some of the important salient features of Pungrain Kisan cards are as follows -

  • It is a magnetic strip card
  • The debit card is issued to farmers having KCC limit, saving fund or current account in the PNB
  • The card can be used only in India

In case of loss or theft of the debit card, ensure you immediately block the card to avoid any further misuse. Here're the customer care numbers of PNB-

  • You can also send an SMS (HOTCard Number) - e.g. HOT 5126520000000013 to 5607040 from your registered mobile number
