Table of Contents
SIP or Systematic Investment plan is a mode of investment in Mutual Funds where individuals deposit small amounts at regular intervals. In SIP transactions, people should understand that the money gets deducted at regular intervals. Therefore, in order to ensure that the entire process is hassle-free, people can to add billers to their Bank account through net banking so that the payments are done on time. This can be done with by adding the Unique Registration Number or URN of the SIP to the bank account. You will receive this URN in your email or you can get it by visiting the website of fincash.com after making your first payment. This process of adding billers to the bank account is different for each bank. So, let us understand the process of adding biller in IDFC Bank.
Any process of adding biller in the bank account starts from logging into your bank account. First-of-all, you need to login to your bank account by using your login credentials. Once you log in, you will be redirected to your home screen. In the home screen, you need to click on Bill Pay tab which is on the left side of the screen. The image for this step is as follows where the Bill Pay option is highlighted in Green.
Once you click on Bill Pay tab, a drop down opens, which has various options such as View/Pay Bills, Quick Pay, Recharges, and much more. Out of these options, you need to select the Add Biller option. The image for this step is given below where the Add Biller option is highlighted in Green.
This is an important step in the process of biller addition. In this step, people need to enter the URN number so that their Auto Pay option gets automated. Once you click on Add Biller option in the previous step, a new screen opens where you need to enter the Bill Details. Here, in case of the category, you need to choose Mutual Funds. In the Provider, you need to select the option BSE Limited. After choosing the provider, you need to enter the URN number which you receive in your email or you can access by logging into your fincash account. After entering the URN, you need to select the Set for Auto Pay option. The image for this step is given below where the Unique Registration Number and Set for Auto Pay option both are highlighted in Green.
Once you select the Set for Auto Pay in the previous step, a drop-down opens in which you need to enter the payment details such as the account number from which the SIP payment has to be done, the start date of the SIP, and the SIP amount that need to be. After entering these details, you need to click on Add Biller option. The image for this step is given below where the Add Biller option is selected in Green.
Once you click on Add Biller in the previous step, a new screen opens where you can see the details of your account you can see summary of your SIP. Along with it, you can also see that a box in which you are asked to enter the One Time Password (OTP). This OTP number is the one which you receive in your mobile number. Once you enter the OTP number you need to click on Verify button. The image for this step is given below where the OTP Box and Verify button both are highlighted in Green.
This is the last step where you can receive the final confirmation that the biller has been successfully added. Once you click on Verify the biller gets confirmed post which the SIP payments will get deducted automatically. The image for this step is given below.
Thus from the above steps, it can be said that it is easy to add biller for SIP transactions in IDFC Bank.
