HDFC Mutual Fund is a joint venture of Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited and Standard Life Investments Group. The Mutual Fund company is a part of the well-reputed HDFC Group. As on September 30, 2017, the HDFC Limited held 57.36% of the total paid up capital of HDFC Mutual Fund while Standard Investments Limited held 38.24% of the total paid of capital. HDFC trustee Company Limited acts as a trustee for HDFC Mutual Fund. The remaining share of the paid up capital was held by other shareholders. ELSS or Equity Linked Savings Schemes means a Mutual Fund scheme that offers investment opportunity along with tax benefit.
