About HDFC Mutual Fund

HDFC Mutual Fund is a joint venture of Housing Development Finance Corporation Limited and Standard Life Investments Group. The Mutual Fund company is a part of the well-reputed HDFC Group. As on September 30, 2017, the HDFC Limited held 57.36% of the total paid up capital of HDFC Mutual Fund while Standard Investments Limited held 38.24% of the total paid of capital. After SEBI's (Securities and Exchange Board of India) circulation on re-categorisation and rationalisation of open-ended mutual funds, many Mutual Fund Houses are incorporating changes in their scheme names and categories. SEBI introduced new and broad categories in Mutual Funds in order to bring uniformity in similar schemes launched by the different Mutual Funds.
